Mark Matheson brings nearly 35 years of experience and leadership in the commercial financing industry to his role as Chief Credit Officer for Oxford Commercial Finance (OCF).  After beginning his career as a field examiner for National Bank of Detroit (NBD), he steadily advanced to take on new roles and responsibilities within NBD and later at Huntington National Bank and GMAC Commercial Finance. Prior to joining OCF, Mark spent 18 years at Crestmark, a division of MetaBank, where he was Chief Credit Officer for the last 11 years. In this position, he oversaw the credit of a diversified portfolio, including leasing, alternative energy, SBA lending, transportation, as well as Asset Based and Accounts Receivable lines of business. Throughout his tenure, he has helped ensure strong portfolio credit quality while proving instrumental in growing business and profitability. This includes leading Crestmark’s portfolio growth from $200 million to over $2 billion. Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Central Michigan University.
